(Phew!)

Finally! After more than one year of hanging out at the only Cuban bar in town, I have finally decided and took courage to take a salsa cubana lesson.

It wasn't as difficult as I thought and I wasn't as nervous as I expected. (LOL!) Yes, that's whats going on in my mind the moment I decided to stop drinking and just dance. I've never been so happy dancing like this before. Familiar faces during the class (Cuba Libre regular guests), great teacher Suzana Sainol and her boyfriend Suli (I've met them in Cuba Libre too - so before I committed learning in their studio, I already know I'm in good hands!) and friends in the same class.

Salsa cubana is different from the L.A salsa which I find a bit difficult to learn (Well, for me) and a bit complex. Salsa cubana is very much easy to learn and so much fun. You get to feel the music very well and the rhythm.

Also FYI, Salsa cubana, also known as Casino, originated in Cuba and Cubans consider casino a part of their social and cultural activities.
