Mother's Love
"A mother is a daughters best friend.."
I grew up never believing to these words but time has changed everything.
A couple of years ago for quiet some time, I didn't have a great relationship with my own mother. I was stubborn and was in a rebellion phase because of everything I was going through in my personal life, and, I thought everything that she tells me are all sugar coatings and lies just to make me feel better.
One great impact that changed me was when I too, became a mother - of two very strong boys.
Patience, comfort words, assurance, compromise and all positive influence all comes out when you have your own children because as a parent, it comes naturally to us to be protective to our own children.
Just last year, when I started being friends again with my mother, we both have adjusted to each other and obviously being very careful not to make same mistakes on what we did from the past. We both gave each other a chance to be happy again and enjoy each other.
Along with this amazing time I have spent with her recently, it made me realise that giving love a second chance is just pretty magical and it does makes two person become stronger and wiser.
I must say, she's rocking the "Nana" role to my boys now and my Mama. I like seeing her smiles now - she just doesn't know how beautiful she is.
